Sylvie Godin-Charest obtained a Bachelor of Arts and majored in Political Science and History from the University of Ottawa before entering the Faculty of Law at the Université de Moncton to pursue her goal of becoming a lawyer.

After being called to the bar in 1999, Sylvie worked as an associate lawyer at CanAm Immigration in the Magog, Québec region. In 2001, Sylvie moved to Moncton where she worked as an associate with Anderson McWilliam and also with Legal Aid New Brunswick before opening up her own law practice. Sylvie is the co-founder of Droit Veritas Law where she worked from 2012 to 2019. After running to become a member of parliament during the 2019 federal election, Sylvie opened her law boutique thriving on a hands-on approach. In her practice, she focuses on Real estate law and has been for the past 20 years. She also offers legal services in Immigration Law.

A strong believer in giving back, Sylvie has held several volunteer roles. A political junkie and avid cyclist, Sylvie and her husband Dhany and their 3 children live in Dieppe.
